Job Summary
Perform routine aircraft interior maintenance, repairs, and modifications by following SRM/engineering data and technical manuals. Remove and reinstall cabin components including liners, floor panels, galleys, lavatories, seats, windscreens, and doors. Develop repair schemes utilizing service manuals and conduct operational tests while communicating work progress with the maintenance team. Complete on-the-job-training documentation and use basic hand tools for specialized interior work in Kansas City.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area
- Ability to repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of aircraft
- Ability to develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data
- Ability to communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels
- Ability to complete on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications
- Ability to conduct operational tests
- Ability to use basic hand tools (i.e. sockets, wrenches, ratchets, screw drivers, pliers, etc.)
- Ability to remove/reinstall interior linings, cargo bay liners, floor panels
- Ability to remove/reinstall lavatories, galleys, seats, windscreens
- Ability to remove/reinstall/adjust doors
