Job Summary
The Aircraft Component Repair Tech II position involves repairing and overhauling internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, and components under moderate supervision. Key responsibilities include performing repairs of mechanical and electrical assemblies, maintaining and operating test equipment, inspecting parts for conformity, and utilizing repair techniques including troubleshooting, soldering, and protective coatings application. Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and possess at least two years of relevant experience. Essential skills include the ability to read blueprints and other maintenance data, along with proficiency in the operation of tools within the department. This role primarily operates on a weekend shift, with flexibility required for other shifts based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harness buildup, electrical systems troubleshooting, battery servicing, APU removal, installation, and servicing
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents
- Skillful in using precision measuring tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience disassembling, repairing, overhaul, and reassembly of aircraft wheels and brakes
- Proficient operation of all tools/equipment in the department including glass bead & carboblast machines
- Basic understanding of shop math
