Job Summary
The Aircraft Component Repair Tech II position involves repairing and overhauling internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, and components. Responsibilities include performing repairs on mechanical and electrical assemblies according to blueprints and component maintenance manuals, maintaining and operating test equipment, and inspecting parts to ensure conformity. The role requires basic and advanced skills appropriate to area specialization, including fabricating and repairing components, troubleshooting electrical systems, and assisting in training lower-level techs. Flexibility in shift work is necessary, with a primary focus on weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years experience in one of the following or other related experience: sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harness buildup, electrical systems troubleshooting, battery servicing, APU removal, installation, and servicing
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Experience disassembling, repairing, rebuilding, and testing of reservoirs and actuators on a test bench
- Proficient operation of all tools/equipment in the department including glass bead & carboblast machines
- Basic understanding of shop math
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents
