Job Summary
Conduct thorough cleaning of aircraft interiors, including cabins, lavatories, and cockpits, using industry-approved products to ensure safe and pleasant conditions for passengers and crew. Wash, sanitize, and organize galleys while removing trash and replacing consumables like headrest covers and blankets. Inspect cabins for damage or lost items, document completed tasks, and report inventory needs. Coordinate with team members to meet aircraft cleaning schedules and handle cleaning chemicals safely. Follow strict safety procedures and aviation regulations, including passing required background checks and obtaining necessary clearances. Maintain confidentiality of airline and passenger information while working flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
- Communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices such as iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal Service, as applicable)
- Must be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands
- Must be able to push and pull
- Must be able to crawl and crouch at times in confined, tight spaces
- Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel
- Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights
- Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
