Aircraft Cleaner/ LAV Water Agent- ANC Airport

Job Summary

Direct lift truck movement and positioning in the Airport, remove all trash from aircraft, and clean galley and restock all lavatories. Clean all seats, seat back pockets, tray tables, and replace soiled magazines, then fold blankets and store them in overhead compartments. Safely operate any vehicle around aircraft in an Airport Ramp Environment while executing safe procedures concerning blood-borne pathogens. Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements. Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, following all local environmental procedures in emptying waste trucks and fueling same in designated areas.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds or more
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language, this includes documents
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
  • Ability to work in an a physically demanding outdoor environment
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable
  • Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands
  • Must be able to push, pull
  • Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, kneel
  • Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights
  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
