Job Summary
Aircraft Avionics Technician needed to perform avionics repairs and installations on CRJ-series aircraft, including removing/installing components, assisting with wing removal, inspecting airframe areas, and interpreting engineering drawings. Responsibilities include assisting with both minor and major avionics repairs, operating ground support equipment, assisting with time estimates, and working 12-hour shifts with overtime. Qualifications require a minimum of 7 years avionics experience or 5 years with an Airframe License; FAA A&P license or A license is preferred but not required; ability to interpret mechanical drawings; possession of basic hand tools; US work authorization; SIDA eligibility if applicable; willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays; per diem and comprehensive benefits offered.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of Avionics experience or 5 years experience with Airframe License
- FAA A&P license OR “A” license is preferred but not needed
- Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
- Own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of tools
- Comfortable with shift work (12 hours shifts, overnights, weekends, holidays)
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Able to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) (if applicable)
- Good verbal & written communication of aircraft status
