Job Summary
Aircraft Avionics Technician responsible for maintenance, service, and repairs on aircraft avionics and electrical systems in a Transport Canada-regulated environment. Duties include repairing/overhauling/installing/calibrating/testing avionics and electrical systems (including instruments, autopilot, pitot-static, in-flight entertainment, radar, and power distribution), certifying activities meet TC standards, managing installation and service projects, documenting work orders and inspections, ensuring parts traceability, reporting unsafe conditions, attending training for type endorsements on multiple aircraft types, and participating in the Safety Management System. Requires strong knowledge of avionics components, knowledge of TC regulations, ability to liaise with internal/external stakeholders, effective communication and organizational skills, willingness to work shifts/overtime, First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and owning tools. Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of avionics components and aircraft systems
- Experience with Embraer 170/175, Boeing 737 NG, or Boeing 737 MAX considered an asset
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies
- Understanding of avionics systems and aircraft integration
- Extensive knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and approved maintenance documentation processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must provide own tools
- Comply with Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
- Maintain traceability of parts from stores to tasks
- Compile work orders, inspections, and maintenance documentation
