Job Summary
Service and breakdown repairs for domestic air source heat pump systems, including fault-finding, electrical and hydraulic checks, and component replacements. Investigate issues relating to controls, circulation, and system pressure while ensuring safe and efficient operation. Complete planned and reactive maintenance visits, providing clear advice to homeowners and accurately recording all findings and follow-up actions. Liaise with technical and installation teams for additional work requirements. This role supports Valoris Group's expansion of its nine-engineer team across South Wales, focusing on maintaining high-quality domestic heat pump installations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience servicing or repairing air source heat pump systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Good understanding of domestic heating and hot water systems
- Experience working with heating controls, pumps, cylinders and associated components
- Relevant plumbing, heating or renewable energy qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
- Full UK driving licence
Desired Qualifications
- Applications may also be considered from experienced domestic heating or gas service engineers who have some practical heat pump experience and are looking to develop further within renewable heating
- Manufacturer training across leading heat pump brands
- BPEC, LCL Awards or equivalent heat pump qualification
- F-Gas certification
- Unvented hot water qualification
- Experience with Vaillant air source heat pump systems
- Experience commissioning or installing heat pumps
- Relevant domestic gas qualifications
