Air Quality Technician I

Job Summary
Drive to and inspect client facilities to obtain permits, conduct audits, and sample air quality data. Maintain and troubleshoot air monitoring equipment, including assisting with the construction and operation of stationary continuous emissions monitoring systems and mobile ambient stations. Generate accurate documentation of all field activities while adhering to strict safety requirements. Respond to company and client calls during evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. This role involves frequent travel, including overnight trips, and requires lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in variable conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Three years' experience in an industrial setting OR a two-year technical degree
- Must possess a valid drivers license with an insurable driving record
- TWIC Card
- Knowledge of common engineering concepts, practices, standards, and procedures
- Ability to read, interpret, create, and assemble from drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and sketches
- Strong electro/mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Must have good written and verbal skills including the ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word, and other technical programs
- Self-Directed – Shows initiative and the ability to organize oneself. Volunteers readily. Able to self-direct work with little supervision.
- Reliable – Punctual. Able to accept and complete duties according to necessary specifications; accepts responsibility.
- Communicator - Able to succinctly convey information. Comfortable with communicating everything from organizational goals to specific tasks to all levels easily. Proficient listener.
- Safety-conscious – Values the safety of self and others by following all regulations and guidelines, wearing necessary PPE, and continuously upholding safety expectations.
- Detail-Oriented - Able to pay close attention to the small particulars when working on a task in order to produce a high-quality product
- Ability to travel frequently and on short notice, with some overnight travel
- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds and work at elevated heights
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time
