Job Summary
Manage the air quality permitting program for military installation projects nationwide, serving as the technical lead from initial scoping through permit issuance. Prepare and review applications including Title V operating permits and New Source Review submissions while ensuring compliance with the Clean Air Act and NESHAP standards. Conduct or oversee emissions inventories and dispersion modeling, coordinate permitting efforts with NEPA reviews, and act as the primary point of contact for Department of Defense clients. Build and grow a nationwide team by mentoring junior staff and participating in hiring decisions, while managing program budget, scheduling, and service line performance. Travel to military installations across multiple regions as needed to support project execution and maintain quality assurance standards across all deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience managing air quality permitting and compliance for DoD installations
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Active Secret clearance or demonstrated ability to obtain one
- Prior experience supporting DoD installations
- Demonstrated experience managing a technical program, including budget, scheduling, and client relationship oversight
- Track record of building or scaling a team
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass installation-specific background checks for site access
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide, including to active military installations
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule based out of Huntsville, Alabama
- Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner
- May include lifting weight up to thirty {30} pounds as necessary

- OSHA 10 or 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
