Job Summary
Lead and supervise all operations personnel in an on-site Kokomo, IN facility for 2nd shift, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. Responsibilities include delivering toolbox talks and safety meetings, training hourly employees, maintaining Electric Arc furnaces, vessels, ladles, and refractories, controlling internal consumables, scheduling overtime, and processing payroll hours in Kronos. Emphasizes adherence to corporate safety, environmental and quality policies, and cost stewardship while driving waste reduction and efficient operation to meet budgetary requirements. Strong emphasis on leadership, communication, and the ability to manage departmental processes to achieve weekly and monthly goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of manufacturing or equivalent experience (preferred)
- 2 years of supervisory/management experience (preferred)
- Experience with safety, health and environmental policies
- Knowledge of Primary Metals Melting, Vacuum Induction Furnace, Metallurgy, Electro Slag Remelting
- Written and oral communication, organization, leadership, PC literacy, interpersonal skills
