Air Import Supervisor

Job Summary
Lead, coach and supervise the IFFO customs team to ensure inbound/outbound shipments comply with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. Manage daily workloads, delegate tasks to meet deadlines and service levels, and oversee all customs formalities for import and export across air freight. Drive compliance, mitigate operational risk, embed best practices across branches, monitor shipments in transit, and deliver proactive customer service. Take ownership of cost control and P&L to identify efficiencies and cost savings. Collaborate across departments to support a 24/7 operation and ensure service continuity. Requires proven air imports experience, leadership ability, strong knowledge of import/export customs processes and compliance requirements, and UK residency of at least 5 years.
Required Qualifications
- Proven air imports experience, ideally within logistics, customs or freight forwarding operations
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience with ability to coach, develop and mentor the team
- Strong knowledge of import and export customs processes across multimodal operations
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements and customs regulations
- Excellent communication, problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to manage costs and drive efficiencies
- Resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
