Job Summary
Coordinate the day-to-day import of international freight forwarding shipments into and out of the USA by receiving and validating customer orders, identifying best routing options, and securing vendor quotations. Issue arrival notices, dispatch inland carriage, and track shipments to final containers while accruing costs in CargoWise for profitability checks. Confirm timely delivery, issue invoices, and distribute documents per shipper requirements. Manage customer reporting and system milestones to ensure operational excellence and high-level customer service. Requires 2-4 years of freight forwarding experience, Certified CargoWise Specialist CCO certification, and advanced math skills. Salary ranges from $27.80 to $39.20.
Required Qualifications
- Certified CargoWise Specialist CCO
- Advanced Knowledge of CargoWise
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 Years Freight Forwarding experience
- Dangerous Goods Certification
- Advanced math & geography skills
- Ability to analyze numerical data and understand components, relationships, find patterns and draw conclusions
- Intermediate knowledge of freight movement, air vendors, air space configurations, container loads, special loading constraints, regulatory requirements, pricing, service routings, AIT product offerings, equipment types, incoterms, and shipment profitability
- Intermediate knowledge of country regulations and AIT policies & procedures that minimize risks to the customer and company
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide using units of currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements
- Basic to intermediate experience using MS Office
- Ability to read, comprehend and write routine correspondence
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people; can effectively present information in one-on-one or small group settings
