Air Freight Operations Executive

Job Summary
Coordinate end-to-end air import and export shipments across international trade lanes, booking with airlines and co-loaders while arranging trucking, pickups, and deliveries. Manage export cut-offs, transshipments, and alternative routings to ensure cargo is lodged and MAWBs are closed on time. Prepare and verify air freight documentation, including manifests and certificates, while declaring permits via TradeNet and handling DG cargo declarations in line with IATA requirements. Liaise with customers, airlines, and partners to resolve issues and provide proactive status updates. Process shipment billing, verify vendor costs, and maintain accurate job costing records. Cover for team members and support ad-hoc projects as required.
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred
- 2–3 years in air freight forwarding operations preferred
- Working knowledge of air import/export procedures, permit declarations, documentation and billing
- DG handling experience and DGR familiarity is a strong advantage
- Experience with back-to-back, transshipment or alternative-routing shipments is advantageous
- Able to source rates and cost out shipments accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers, agents and service providers
- Detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple time-sensitive shipments in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, adaptable and able to resolve operational issues independently
- Immediate availability and Singapore citizenship advantageous
