Job Summary
Teach 45- to 90-minute academic classes daily, coordinating leadership development requirements and extracurricular activities such as drill teams, marksmanship clubs, and academic bowls. Supervise cadets during off-campus events including field trips, parades, and community service, while maintaining a safe environment free from harassment or bias. Serve as a liaison between the Air Force and civilian agencies, providing career counseling and incorporating approved interactive learning tools into instruction. Lead before and after-school activities, manage curriculum planning and administrative tasks, and complete all mandatory Air Force training and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Teacher certification or continuing education requirements
- Competent knowledge of curriculum planning
- Knowledge of Air Force educational programs
- Knowledge of drill and ceremonies
- Knowledge of educational administration
- Knowledge of tests and measurements
- Completion of all mandatory Air Force Junior ROTC instructor training
