Job Summary
Air Export Agent coordinates international air export shipments from booking through final delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include booking, documentation, tracking, and final delivery; preparing and auditing export documentation; processing HA/WBs (HAWB/MAWB) and related shipping documents; arranging pickups with warehouses and transportation partners; data entry in SAP TM; providing rate quotes and verifying customer credit; generating billing and invoices; proactively identifying and resolving shipment issues; and supporting team projects. Requires at least 2 years of freight forwarding experience, strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a focus on accuracy in a deadline-driven environment. On-site role based in Woodbury, NY with standard Monday–Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of freight forwarding experience, with a focus on air export operations
- Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping practices strongly preferred
- General understanding of airline operations and logistics processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Experience with logistics systems such as SAP TM (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to implement practical solutions
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
- Willingness to follow established procedures and contribute to continuous improvement
