Job Summary
Air Cargo Ramp Agent responsible for loading and unloading cargo up to 70 lbs, marshalling aircraft, operating ground support equipment, and assisting with aircraft pushback at IAH Airport. Applies strong safety, security, and communication practices to maintain secure operations and collaborate with cargo, ramp, and security teams. Requires HS Diploma or GED, ability to work in a high-noise environment, lifting capability up to 70 lbs, valid driver's license, and willingness to work rotating shifts; prior ground operations or ramp experience is preferred. This role is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is based in the United States, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work in a high-noise level environment
- Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids
- Pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lbs. onto or from a conveyor belt
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to successfully communicate with others.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
- Preferred qualifications include air cargo experience, ground operations experience, and prior ramp agent experience.
