Job Summary
Air Cargo Handler responsible for the safe and timely movement of cargo, loading/unloading freight from aircraft, and operating heavy equipment (forklifts, belt loaders, tugs, K-loaders). Must be able to pass background checks, obtain an airport security badge, and acquire a customs seal. Requires ability to work a morning part-time shift with flexibility for holidays/weekends, lifting up to 40 lbs, and operating in an airport environment with varying weather and noise. Prior experience in airline, hospitality/resort, or military service is a plus. Strong dependability, communication, and professionalism are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License, birth certificate and/or passport
- Able to pass a 10-year background check and obtain an airport security badge
- Must be able to acquire a customs seal through Customs and Border Patrol
- Excellent dependability, communication, and professionalism
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
- Experience in airline, hospitality/resort, personal customer service industries and/or military service a plus is welcome but not necessary
- Able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Able to work outdoors/in airport environment with various weather conditions
- Able to wear PPE when required
- Able to operate heavy equipment (fork lifts, belt loaders, tugs, etc.)
- Load and unload cargo from aircraft safely and timely
- Meet morning shift hours as listed
