Job Summary
Provide personal care services under the direction of the Health Administrator, Human Relations Manager, and Scheduling Manager for assigned clients. Perform services necessary to maintain personal comfort, including bathing, shampooing, skin care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping. Assist with range of motion exercises and ambulation while administering self-administered medications per direction. Document all care provided and pertinent observations in client records. Report changes in client conditions, observe infection control practices, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team. Maintain confidentiality and participate in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow written plan of care.
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Current driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred minimum of six (6) months work experience in a supervised setting, preferably health care facility.
