Job Summary
Assist teachers with instructional needs, provide accommodations, modifications, and other supports to students with special education services as described in the IEP; deliver supports in whole group, small group, or individual settings; assist with classroom management and behavioral plans; maintain confidential student records; perform SHARS duties; provide personal care as identified in applicable student IEPs; may be required to lift or reposition students and handle sensitive materials; collaborate with teachers to collect data on student goals and progress.
Required Qualifications
- Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certificate required once employed
- College hours 15 or high school diploma or GED (with a passing score of 464 on the ParaPro test) for Non-Title I campus
- College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test
- Communicate and work with students
- Maintain effective working relationships
- Minimum clerical skills
- Good physical and emotional condition
- Work with confidential material
