Job Summary
Provide instructional and personal care support to students with disabilities in both general education and special education settings; assist in developing instructional materials, maintaining a neat classroom, and managing student behavior; support with transfers, positioning, feeding, toileting, and other physical needs; assist with supervision of students throughout the day and aid substitute teachers; maintain confidentiality and participate in professional development; collaborate with teachers to implement classroom programs and district initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or two years of study at an institute of higher learning
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Ability to work well with children with disabilities
- Ability to assist with classroom instruction
- Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
