Job Summary
Aide - Special Education provides instructional support for teachers, working with small groups and/or individual students; assists with remedial/enrichment activities; delivers behavioral intervention support as needed; promotes an inclusive environment and helps students with disabilities participate in peer activities; collects data; ensures safety and staff/student well-being; maintains classroom materials and records; supports clerical tasks related to classroom activities; collaborates with the classroom teacher to address behavior concerns; participates in parent conferences, district meetings, and professional development; performs other job-related duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Ohio Department of Education Permit appropriate for the assignment.
