Job Summary
Assist the teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements while working under their supervision. Support daily operations with a focus on effective communication and working well with children. Requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid Texas educational aide certificate or willingness to obtain one, and some experience working with children. The position is for a Paraprofessional 1 with an 187-day employment term.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- ESSA Criteria (2 years of study at an institution of higher education; an Associate degree or higher; or can pass a formal academic paraprofessional assessment)
- Some experience working with children
- Ability to work well with children
