Job Summary
Coordinate PBIA activities with administrators and organize supports for effective classroom management and supervision. Monitor student progress on assignments, assist students in completing work, and arrange necessary supplies and resources. Enforce school expectations, maintain accurate records for attendance and behavior, and contact parents regarding behavior or assignment completion. Counsel students proactively to address behavior, supervise daily to ensure a safe environment, and provide recognition for positive actions. Work cooperatively with teachers to promote positive behavior through professional development and engage parents in student behavior intervention plans.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education which is defined as 48 semester hours of college course work
- Associate's (or higher) degree
- Pass Spring Independent School District's NCLB test in areas of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics
- 3 years working with students as a learner advocate, reflective practitioner, and active support for teaching and learning
- Community education experience
- Social service experience
