Job Summary
Monitor pupils and daily school bus activities to ensure proper conduct, safe behavior, and adherence to standards. Maintain attendance and ridership records, assign seating, and verify route turn-for-turn sheets with written notes as requested. Observe and track route timing for efficiency, assist drivers with cleaning, and ensure safe loading, unloading, and seatbelt usage. Communicate effectively with drivers, district personnel, students, and parents while working in various weather conditions. Must pass background checks and hold a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- Certificate of training in first aid and CPR, if required by local contract
- A first aid endorsement on the special driver's certificate or a certificate of training in first aid and a certificate of training for CPR, if required by local contract
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and co-workers
- Ability to verbally communicate clearly with students, drivers, school officials, and parents
- Attend work on a regular and dependable basis
- Ability to successfully pass state and/or federal required Background Checks
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
- Ability to comply with all policies and procedures established by company
- Must be eligible to work in the US without restrictions
