Job Summary
Provide physical education support services by conducting instructional exercises, assisting teachers in classroom management, and preparing instructional materials. Work with individual students or small groups while maintaining orderly classrooms and managing equipment inventory. Assist with administration, scoring testing instruments, and keeping administrative records. Help maintain student supervision before, during, and after school across playgrounds, cafeterias, and practice environments. This role requires a high school diploma, Paraprofessional Aide Certification, and experience working with students in various settings. The position involves 187 duty days, non-exempt pay, and reports to the Campus Principal.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, two years of study or 48 hours at an institution of higher learning
- Paraprofessional Aide Certification required (can be obtained once employed)
- Must have experience working with students; experience may be work in church related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar experience
- Ability to organize and be detail oriented
- Able to operate the computer
- Ability to provide instruction to individual or small groups of students
- Physically and emotionally able to perform assigned tasks
- Communicate and work with students
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Must possess personal qualities related to respect for the rights and confidentiality of others
- Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
