Job Summary
Aide II in Gynecology at Women’s College Hospital (Ontario) providing patient-care and assistance in a gynecology ambulatory clinic. Responsibilities include escorting patients within reception, waiting, and exam areas; coordinating patient flow with RNs and physicians; maintaining exam rooms and supply stocks; preparing procedure rooms and instrumentation; organizing specimens for pickup; ensuring infection control processes; replenishing educational materials; managing inventory and ensuring supplies and medications are within expiry dates; supporting a safe, clean, and efficient clinic environment; and demonstrating effective communication and teamwork with healthcare providers. Requires a Secondary School Diploma (or Health Care Aide Certificate as alternative), 2 years of relevant clinic experience (GYN/surgical clinic experience preferred), strong multitasking and organizational skills, proficient computer skills, and the physical ability to meet job demands. Employment is regular part-time with pay listed hourly (CAD 25.52–27.15) and benefits typical of HOOPP affiliation, located in Toronto, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma required
- 2 years of relevant experience in a medical/ambulatory clinic setting
- OR Health Care Aide, Health Care Assistant Certificate preferred
- GYN/surgical clinic experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Patient focused with interpersonal and customer service skills
- Skilled at multi-tasking, prioritization and organization
- Proficient time management and problem solving skills with minimal direction
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competent computer skills
- Ability to meet physical demands (frequent walking, standing, reaching, bending, push up to 40 pounds)
- Strong attendance record
