Job Summary
Aide, Head Start assists the classroom teacher in the overall operation and activities of Head Start. Responsibilities include supporting children in all activities, participating in planning, setting up and maintaining instructional equipment, performing light custodial duties for safety and hygiene, monitoring student behavior, participating in data collection and recordkeeping, engaging in parent involvement activities, and maintaining professional communication with students, staff, and parents. Requires a CDA credential or Florida DOE Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate and First Aid/CPR certifications; one year of early childhood experience; bilingual experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- One year of increasingly responsible experience in early childhood
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Florida Department of Education Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Bilingual experience preferred
