Aide, Headstart

Assist the classroom teacher in overall Head Start operations and activities per Performance Standards. Support children during all activities and handle situations requiring adult help. Participate in daily, weekly, and long-range planning while assisting with instructional equipment setup, operation, and maintenance. Perform light custodial duties ensuring safety and hygiene in classrooms and student-accessed environments. Monitor student behavior using positive supports in the classroom, lunchroom, school grounds, and off-campus activities. Collect ongoing student data and maintain current records. Engage in parent involvement activities, including updating bulletin boards, posting announcements, and assisting with parent/volunteer training. Establish positive communication among students, staff, and parents. Maintain an active CDA credential, First Aid/CPR certification, and one year of early childhood experience.
