Job Summary
Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients, assisting with hygiene, grooming, toileting, safe mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Observe and report changes in patient condition while offering emotional support to patients and families. Maintain accurate visit documentation, attend team meetings, and practice infection control and safety protocols. This Florida-based role requires an active CNA license, CPR certification, and a driver's license, with a preference for home health or hospice experience. Required Qualifications
- Active CNA license in the state of employment
- Current CPR certification
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance
- Six (6) months of direct patient care experience
- Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and ability to handle emotional situations
- Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs
- Florida Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology
- Prior roles in hospital nursing, ICU, geriatrics, med-surg, ER, telemetry, or nursing homes
- Exposure to end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support
