Job Summary
Educational Support Professional (ESP) delivers specially designed instruction to students with disabilities under the supervision of the student support services team. Responsibilities include delivering instruction aligned to IEPs, providing instruction in small groups or individually, collaborating with general education and student support services staff, monitoring and reporting student progress, participating in weekly data-driven meetings, engaging in professional development, implementing IEP behavioral plans, assisting with data collection, preparing instructional materials, managing daily schedules, and performing tasks as directed by building leadership. Skilled in de-escalation, supporting students with disabilities, and using technology and A/V aids to supplement presentations. Ability to support students physically when needed and maintain a professional, confidential environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or higher) or taking and passing a formal assessment measuring knowledge of and ability to assist classroom teachers in reading, writing, and mathematics.
