Job Summary
Assist students with disabilities under supervision, adhering to daily schedule and classroom/behavior management plans. Provide care, supervision and support for students with disabilities, including personal hygiene assistance (toileting, diapering, dressing) as directed by the teacher; implement classroom/individual behavior management systems; adapt to changes and work cooperatively with staff. Maintain dependability, safety, and effective communication; requires basic computer skills (Microsoft Office). Suitable for an entry-level paraprofessional in a school setting; physical activities include standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and other tasks as outlined in the job description.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of increasingly responsible experience in education, child care, or related field preferred.
