Job Summary
Aide, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Unique Needs provides care, supervision, and support for students with disabilities under the direction of a supervising teacher. Responsibilities include adhering to daily schedules, assisting with personal hygiene needs, supporting classroom and individual behavior management systems, providing for students' care and well-being, and performing other duties as assigned. The role emphasizes adaptability, cooperation, dependability, job knowledge, safety, and the ability to learn and apply new skills. Computer skills include Microsoft Office. The position is grant-funded and located in Greater Carrollwood, FL, with physical demands typical of an instructional support/paraprofessional role.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: One (1) year of increasingly responsible experience in education, child care, or related field preferred
- Language Skills: Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Writes simple correspondence. Effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Mathematical Skills: Adds and subtracts two-digit numbers and multiplies and divides with 10s and 100s.
- Reasoning Ability: Applies understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
