Job Summary
The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher or Universal PreK Aide supports the instructional program by performing tasks assigned by the regular classroom teacher and carries a 200-day schedule with a 6:45 am–2:45 pm daily rhythm at Mountain View Elementary in Hurricane, WV. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an Aide classification, strong oral and written communication skills, CPR and first aid certification, and eligibility to complete a Temporary or Permanent Authorization for Early Childhood Assistant Teacher. Salary is based on experience and education level per the Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule with a competitive benefits package, including PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and vision/dental coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a high school diploma or GED
- Holds “Aide” classification
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills
- Holds valid CPR and first aid cards
- To qualify for the Early Childhood Assistant Teacher classification, the successful candidate must agree to complete a Temporary or Permanent Authorization endorsed for Early Childhood Assistant Teacher
