Job Summary

Coordinate staff airport transportation and manage bookings for the Community Health Hub, including key maintenance and supply ordering. Support individual clients and families through follow-up, therapy plan execution, and progress monitoring via Wellsky and Mustimuhw systems. Assist with clinic coordination, home visits for visiting professionals, and client identification while maintaining confidentiality. Perform building cleaning and maintenance per local agreement. This role reports to the Developmental Services Manager and Coordinator. Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority prioritizes hiring Indigenous employees from the region and offers on-job training.

Required Qualifications

  • Persons of First Nations ancestry
  • Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects in the Sioux Lookout Zone
  • Equivalent to partial high school education
  • Ability to read and write so as to communicate easily
  • Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • One year of experience working with health or education providers
  • Professional integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
  • Familiar with the use of popular software such as MS Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
  • Skilled at use of internet-based tools
  • Willingness to learn SLFNHA scheduling and ordering systems
  • Willingness to share knowledge and culture of First Nations people and specifically the respective community
  • Willingness to speak up on the health and mental health priorities of your community
  • A team player who is able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid G Drivers License
  • Ability to perform the job on a regular basis

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Anishinabe language
