Job Summary
Conduct direct supervision of students by performing childcare duties and related tasks under the direction of site instructors. Assist with organizing and cleaning up after activities, maintaining cleanliness and order of play and storage areas according to Health and Safety Standards. Participate in daily program activities, conduct group activities as directed, and plan independently to implement daily activities for children. Build positive relationships with children and staff while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and policies. Attend site staff meetings, workshops, and in-service training programs, including completing 15 hours of child care training annually and maintaining current First Aide/CPR/AED certification within three months of appointment.
Required Qualifications
- Attend 15 hours of child care training each year
- Maintain current First Aide/CPR/AED certification
- All training requirements must be completed within three (3) months of appointment start date
- Applicable coursework shall be included in the 15-hour requirement
- Up to 55 pounds
- Both dominant and non-dominant hand
- Overhead
