Job Summary
The Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten Aide will assist the classroom teacher with supervising and instructing bilingual pre-kindergarten students, help implement lesson plans, prepare instructional materials and classroom displays, assist with student records and equipment, translate with parents or staff as needed, and provide orientation to substitute teachers. The role requires HS diploma, completion of college coursework (48 hours), educational aide certification, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with non-exempt status and potential overtime as stated.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma from an accredited institution
- Independent School District’s NCLB test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics
- Educational Aide Certification
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework (48 hours)
- Must obtain Educational Aide Certification
- Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently
