Job Summary
Assist the teacher with implementation of lesson plans, prepare instructional materials, and maintain classroom displays. Monitor individual students, classroom, and playground activities while helping keep the environment neat and orderly. Maintain student files, records, and equipment; perform record keeping, scheduling, and copying. Administer tests to evaluate student progress and participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned. This role requires proficiency in computer skills, effective communication, and the ability to work well with children. Overtime is required as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree (or higher)
- Completion of 48 semester hours at an accredited institution of higher education
- Obtained an academic assessment from a previous school district meeting a rigorous standard of quality
- Educational Aide II Certificate
- Willingness to obtain Educational Aide II Certificate
