AI Transformation Lead

Job Summary
Lead discovery workshops across operations, finance, and product to map current states and surface high-impact AI/automation opportunities. Develop comprehensive transformation roadmaps including opportunity sizing, cost/benefit modeling, and milestones tied to EBITDA improvement. Partner with HR leads to define talent profiles for AI/ML engineers and data scientists, then oversee the full hiring process from sourcing to onboarding. Serve as the primary client-facing advisor, presenting findings, leading executive alignment, and communicating ROI metrics. Track post-deployment performance to ensure sustainable hand-offs and build repeatable frameworks and playbooks for future portfolio engagements. Complete discovery within 30 days and secure roadmap approval with key talent onboarded within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in roles combining AI/ML/data science, product or operations (ideally in a tech-enabled business)
- Demonstrated track record of leading AI/automation projects that delivered measurable business impact (e.g., cost reduction, revenue growth, process efficiency)
- Strong business acumen: comfortable with financial modeling, EBITDA impact, operational workflows, C-suite engagement
- Proven competency in talent assessment/hiring for technical roles (AI/ML engineers, data scientists) or leading teams built from scratch
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical ideas into business outcomes at an executive level
- Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Travel to portfolio company offices when required
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in data science, engineering, business desirable but not required
