Job Summary
Review technical documentation and assess AI systems against applicable regulatory requirements and standards for products in medical devices, robotics, and biometrics. Support AI conformity assessments, provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams, and participate in client meetings for CE marking and certification activities. Mentor colleagues and help shape tools, processes, and training that support BSI's growing AI conformity assessment capabilities. Contribute to internal projects developing and testing AI tools to enhance assessment procedures while supporting accreditation, quality, and continuous improvement activities. Work independently within a global, multidisciplinary team to identify opportunities applying AI expertise across BSI's services.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree equivalent in AI, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Medical Device Software, or a related discipline
- 4+ years of post-graduate experience in AI/ML model development
- Knowledge of AI regulations, standards, and relevant guidance
- Experience in at least two AI/ML areas, such as deep learning, neural networks, supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, regression, fuzzy logic, probabilistic methods, optimization, LLMs, or biometrics
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and risk management
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a global, multidisciplinary team
- Remote / Home-based work arrangement
