AI Tech Risk and Controls Lead

Job Summary
Lead AI risk and controls within the CFP Infrastructure Platforms team, responsible for identifying and mitigating technology risk, providing subject-matter guidance to technology-aligned process owners, and ensuring controls operate in compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Build relationships with application owners, operations teams, clients, and business partners to deliver end-to-end infrastructure services related to Technology Group Owners’ production applications and services. Drive governance reporting, risk posture insights for senior management, monitor control effectiveness, identify gaps, and partner with stakeholders across the bank to execute technology risk management processes. Requires formal training or certification in tech risk and 5+ years of relevant experience, deep understanding of AI/ML engineering principles, familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements, data security expertise, and strong communication to influence senior leadership. Preference for certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, and familiarity with ITSM (ServiceNow) and data analytics tools.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on tech risk and 5+ years applied experience
- 5+ years of experience in technology risk management, information security, or related field
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technical engineering principles
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial industry regulatory requirements
- Proficient knowledge in data security, risk assessment, reporting, control evaluation, design, and governance
- Track record of influencing executive-level strategic decision-making and translating technology insights into business strategy
- Data analytics skills using Excel and other tools
- Creates and promotes a culture of continuous process improvement with a risk and controls mindset
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver results with accountability
- Strong relationship-building and networking across functions and geographies to expand influence
