Job Summary
AI Systems & Automation Consultant to design, build, and optimize AI-powered workflows across multiple businesses and investment initiatives. This role requires strategic thinking to identify inefficiencies, independently design AI-driven solutions, and implement scalable automation across several ventures. You will manage Claude Code-based development, governance, and AI ecosystem practices, integrate systems via APIs and automation tools (n8n, Make, Zapier, OpenAI/Anthropic), and build end-to-end workflows for financial, onboarding, KYC, deal intake, loan processing, and reporting. You will work remotely, align with Perth business hours, and operate as an independent contractor with a part-time commitment (20 hours/week) and a monthly rate of USD 800–1,200, with potential increases based on experience. Must-haves include hands-on automation experience, strong understanding of LLMs and AI agent architecture, API/webhook integrations, and excellent communication, with exposure to lending/fintech, SaaS, and investment operations. Ideal candidates will think like consultants, manage multiple projects, and proactively identify automation opportunities across portfolio companies.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience building automation systems and workflows
- Advanced proficiency with Claude Code
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows
- Hands-on experience with n8n and/or similar automation platforms
- Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agent architecture
- Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Strong systems thinking and process design capabilities
- Ability to build end-to-end automation solutions independently
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Understanding of financial workflows, lending processes, SaaS business models, investment and due diligence processes
- Ability to translate high-level business objectives into practical systems and workflows
- Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive
- Experience building AI agents, internal tools, or operational dashboards
- Consulting, strategy, or operations background
