Job Summary
Stylitics AI Labs is hiring an AI Software Engineer to join our AI Labs team. This full-stack role emphasizes rapidly prototyping frontend interfaces and robust backend systems to support AI model-based applications across retail use cases. You will write production-level TypeScript, build UI prototypes, perform prompt engineering with LLMs (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI), conduct context engineering, design agentic workflows, monitor and test LLM performance, analyze large datasets, and ensure scalable, maintainable solutions across multiple clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and report directly to the CTO, contributing to strategic discussions on AI tooling and implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of software development experience, ideally in retail/e-commerce or applied AI/tech
- Experience building AI or LLM-powered products is a bonus
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) and ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience with modern prototyping stacks, specifically React, TypeScript, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering (Claude, Gemini, or OpenAI)
- Demonstrated affinity for agentic software engineering and enthusiasm for AI coding tools
- Foundational understanding of system design, APIs, and open-source packages
- Familiarity with evaluating model performance using structured tests and metrics
- Ability to operate with ambiguity in product definition with senior support
- Judgment to evaluate LLM outputs critically
