Job Summary
Conduct research on GenAI and Foundation models to address academic and industrial challenges in the ADAS AI domain, including 3D reconstruction, world models, map and localization, and data curation. Collaborate with an international team to transfer and apply in-house GenAI/FM innovations and third-party solutions to Bosch AI products and services. Stay abreast of technological advancements by attending academic conferences and seminars, then offer expert insights to management on strategic planning and R&D trajectory. Document and disseminate findings through high-caliber publications and patent submissions. Requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Engineering, 2+ years of research experience on foundation models, and proficiency in Python or C++. Salary range in US-California is $165,000 - $185,000.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related discipline or master's degree with 3+ years industry experience (GenAI and/or world model related) after graduation
- 2+ years of research experience or equivalent graduate research experience on foundation models, including training, fine-tuning, and prompting
- In-depth experiences in deep learning, with work in at least two of the following areas: diffusion models, 3D reconstruction, world models
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in systems research (e.g., Python, C++) and hands on experience with AI / NLP / CV libraries
- Publication record in top venues including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICRA, IROS, RSS, NeurIPS, AAAI, ACL, EMNLP, and CoRL
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- Strong background in math and statistics
- 3+ years experiences in industrial research
- Hands-on experience in product development in the above-mentioned areas for consumer/enterprise markets
- Experience in leading R&D project & team dealing with international customers
- Leadership skills with excellent English communication & teamwork skills
