Job Summary
Work closely with art and design to create and iterate on gameplay AI features in Fortnite. Drive, build, and maintain core AI systems within the Fortnite AI ecosystem while collaborating with engine AI developers to improve overall AI performance. Experiment with game design using rapid prototyping to ensure strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made, and optimize or fix bugs in existing gameplay AI systems to ensure high-quality user experiences across all supported platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing games professionally
- Shipping AAA titles with AI experience
- Experience working with AI systems (Behavior Trees, Finite State Machine, Pathfinding, etc.)
- Strong C++ skills
- Ability to code and architect AI gameplay mechanics and tools
- Well-versed in games
- Ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games

- Experience working on a live service game
