Job Summary
Conduct product counseling for AI launches and accelerate partnership deals by reviewing model reviews, procurement, and evaluation agreements. Provide pragmatic legal guidance that translates emerging regulations into practical product launch requirements and risk-based recommendations for cross-functional teams. Partner with Sales, Privacy, Security, and Product to answer customer-facing questions regarding Notion AI capabilities, safeguards, and commitments. Establish a scalable operating model for vendor procurement and regulatory tracking while adopting AI tools to streamline drafting and risk analysis. Work onsite in San Francisco on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to support the Product and IP Legal team in building the collaborative AI workspace.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product counseling experience with a technology company and/or law firm
- Experience reviewing and negotiating vendor agreements
- AI and data licensing experience
- Sound judgment in ambiguity
- Demonstrated curiosity about AI
- Willingness to adopt AI tools to work smarter, move faster, and deliver better results
- Developing your personal AI fluency is required for this role
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Admission to the California bar or ability to be registered as in-house counsel in California
- This role will be based in San Francisco
- We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
