Job Summary
The Hartford seeks energetic AI Platform Engineers to build AI Operations services for the AI Platform team. Responsibilities include developing tailored features for enterprise solutions, implementing suitable GenAI algorithms, enhancing platform functionality with expertise in AI and ML, and managing engineering tasks with minimal guidance. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical field, significant software development experience, programming with Python, and expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, and CI/CD processes. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years building and shipping software and/or platform solutions for enterprises
- 5+ years of experience with Terraform
- Experience with GCP BigQuery, Cloud Functions, AI Platform, API Gateway, GKE/Docker
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Automated Testing, Automated Deployments, Agile methodologies, Unit Testing, and Integration Testing tools
- Experience with building scalable serverless applications (real-time/batch) using cloud technologies
- Experience with IR, vector embedding, and Hybrid/Semantic search technologies
- Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks and Generative AI techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Programming experience with Python
- Experience building libraries, frameworks, or platforms used across multiple teams
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with other cloud providers such as AWS
- Knowledge of distributed NoSQL database systems and data engineering, ETL technology
- Conversational UX/UI design (chatbots) and Human-Agent-Interaction (HAI)
- Understanding of Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning
