Job Summary
Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase focusing on building AI-enabled applications and delivering secure, high-quality production code. Responsibilities include designing and troubleshooting software solutions, automating remediation to improve AI feature reliability, leading vendor and internal team evaluations on model capabilities and integration patterns, and fostering communities of practice around prompt engineering and SDK best practices. The role involves building AI-powered features using platforms such as Bedrock, Foundry, or Vertex AI with prompt design, function calling, and SDK/REST integrations, plus implementing input/output safety, comprehensive logging/monitoring of LLM usage, and contributing to a culture of diversity and inclusion. Proficiency in Python, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and secure coding throughout the SDLC is required; Terraform is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced proficiency in Python software engineering
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, security for AI applications
- Practical cloud-native experience
