Job Summary
AI Platform Engineer (Senior) responsible for owning the HIPAA-compliant AI infrastructure layer, including deploying and maintaining a self-hosted AI gateway on Azure App Services, implementing per-team rate limits and budget controls, and integrating with multiple AI APIs. Role focuses on infrastructure and integration rather than application development, with duties spanning PHI/PII redaction pipelines, SSO federation (Azure Entra ID), cross-cloud IAM federation, self-hosted observability on Azure Container Apps, and tying the gateway into the proprietary InCredibly clinical platform. Candidates should have hands-on cloud experience with Azure and AWS, Python proficiency, experience with open-source AI gateway tooling, NLP-based PHI/PII detection, and HIPAA data-handling awareness. The position is hybrid in Gurugram, India, with senior leadership exposure and a path to shaping AI usage across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of cloud infrastructure experience spanning Azure and AWS
- Hands-on Azure experience: App Services, Container Apps, Entra ID / SSO configuration
- AWS experience: IAM, OIDC federation, API access management, CloudTrail or equivalent audit logging
- Python proficiency — configuration, pipeline scripting, environment management
- Experience deploying or configuring open-source AI gateway or proxy tooling (LiteLLM or equivalent)
- Experience with NLP-based PII/PHI detection frameworks (Microsoft Presidio or equivalent)
- Experience self-hosting observability platforms (LangFuse, Langsmith, or similar)
- Comfort with HIPAA data handling requirements — you understand why data must not leave the environment unredacted
