Job Summary
AI Native Engineer role embedded with CookUnity's AI team to map high-value workflows end-to-end, identify where automation can create step-change improvements, and design and build production tools (agentic workflows or deterministic apps) with human-in-the-loop where needed. Responsibilities include designing future-state workflows, building and shipping production tools, monitoring KPIs, evals after model updates, and continuously improving automation across business processes. The role requires interfacing with stakeholders, mapping data flows, selecting appropriate automation approaches, and delivering measurable impact on team throughput and cost while maintaining code quality and operational readiness. Preferred experience includes working with LLMs in production, API/DB integration, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to map a business process and redesign it with automation
- Technical fluency to connect systems and build production workflows
- Good judgment on agents vs. deterministic tools
- Strong foundation in at least one programming language (TypeScript, Python, Kotlin or similar)
- Hands-on experience with LLMs in production, not just prompting, but building reliable systems
- Operational maturity (monitoring, measurement, iteration, documentation)
- Communication skills to work cross-functionally
